Absolutely no comparison… Jim Beam owns Jack Daniels… It is sad considering the price difference.. And I seen where someone referred to Jim Beam tasting like “Horses Piss” Well if Jim tastes like that then your precious Jack tastes like the postscrewed end of my slobber stick!!

As a regular bourbon drinker, I of course like Maker’s, Knob Creek, Woodford, etc. But good old Jim Beam and I have shared many a night together. I do prefer the black label’s taste but still drink white in a pinch. I’ll take JB over JD any day.

Some people drink what they like to drink. Some people drink what others tell them to drink. Jim Beam is not a bad whiskey. Of course the bourbon snobs wont have anything to do with it but those are the people that drink what others tell them to drink because it raises their perceived status. I say drink what you want, fuck everyone else.

I like regular Jim Beam but I must admit it’s a little bit over rated. It’s too harsh and watered down IMO to be a good sipper. I keep it around because it’s a cheap drunk that goes well with Coke.

If you want a good Jim Beam go with Jim Beam Black. You won’t be disappointed
